About ChristinE

I grew up in a creative household with parents that kindled the fire of creativity within me. My second grade teacher was the first to encourage fine art as a potential path for me, but it wasn’t until after a degree in fine art from Samford University that I began the process of growing as a solo artist. I started on the exercise of stretching my skills and honing my craft (something I believe to be a life-long journey as an artist). I hope to create artwork that strikes the balance of fun and timeless, in an effortless manner. Composition and color harmony are a distinctive part of my work. My palettes and subject matter are heavily influenced by my upbringing along the east coast. I hope to bring these costal scenes to life through a new perspective and unexpected moments of color.

I paint entirely from the three primaries (red, yellow + blue) and white. This has helped me gain a strong understanding of color theory. Painting has stretched me in so many ways and I’m grateful I get to do what I love everyday.

I was raised in Jacksonville, FL but currently live in Nashville, TN with my pup Annie. When I’m not in the studio you can find me outside, usually near the water, or tending to my plants. I believe the things I love are naturally folded into my practice. This keeps me coming back to the studio to tackle new ideas and color ways.
